It does everything the Shield does with streaming, in fact with Netflix the YV app is better because Sony TVs can have an issue when streaming boxes are used and it smudged the blacks a lot.

I have a flagship 2019 Sony 55” OLED with Android TV or what ever it’s called. Game streaming is possible on the Shield but to be honest I found that lacking and use a NUC instead for that function. It's annoying to turn off 120hz processing all the time. Also it keeps the TV at the video setting i set, not the one it thinks it wants to use. Running shield though my denon receiver then to the TV keeps the tv from switching modes which leads to my audio/video getting out of sync more often.
For some reason, the shield upscaling washes out the whites and I dont like the look of it when i watch football. Sony is better for a single app that i use: Youtube TV for live sports. The smart apps on the sony feel sluggish i guess is the word. Shield interface is snappier and more responsive. Shield makes it easier to put in a non-default launcher to avoid the useless ads the default google/android tv launcher shoves in your face. If you have a shitty sound bar, likely less of an issue. If you have a legit 5.1 or better sound system with receiver, shield is better at passing the higher audio formats. I tried the Native apps on Sony head to head with shield pro 2019. I have an A80k which is a year newer than the j, just picked it up 3 weeks ago when my 5 yr old LG shit the bed.
